NEW QUT research has found that a patient's belief in their treatment can significantly influence health outcomes. The review identified five key factors shaping treatment belief: the patient, practitioner, their relationship, the treatment itself and the healthcare environment. Researchers say clear communication, trust and a positive clinical setting can strengthen confidence in treatment, improving outcomes without changing the medical intervention itself.
